The headline feature of Week 2 is the Fantasy FC x Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Crossover, bringing real-world Premier League performances directly into Ultimate Team upgrades.

How the Fantasy FC x FPL Crossover Works

For context, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is the official fantasy competition tied to the Premier League. Participants build squads and earn points based on real-life player performances.

EA Sports has now integrated a similar system into FC 26. However, instead of allowing players to freely select cards, EA has pre-selected specific footballers participating in Premier League Matchday 29.

Players can earn up to two live special cards by participating in the Fantasy FC Flash Rush Event. These cards will receive upgrades based on the selected footballers’ real-life performances during Matchday 29, which runs from March 3 to March 5.

FPL Point System for Upgrades

The in-game upgrade structure mirrors the official FPL scoring system. Key point values include:

  • Goal (Goalkeeper): 10 points
  • Goal (Defender): 6 points
  • Goal (Midfielder): 5 points
  • Goal (Forward): 4 points
  • Assist: 3 points
  • Clean Sheet (Goalkeeper/Defender): 4 points
  • Clean Sheet (Midfielder): 1 point
  • Penalty Save: 5 points
  • Penalty Miss: -1 point
  • Yellow Card: -1 point
  • Red Card: -3 points

The more FPL points a selected player earns, the stronger the upgrade to their Fantasy FC card.

Selected Players for Matchday 29

EA Sports has chosen a group of Premier League players for the crossover event. Community source @FutSheriff has also predicted their base overall ratings.

Matchday 29 Selections:

  • Everton vs Burnley – Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (87 OVR, CM)
  • AFC Bournemouth vs Brentford – Alex Jimenez (87 OVR, RB)
