FC Bayern München to Exit eFootball After June 2025 – Major Changes Ahead

A major shift is coming to KONAMI’s eFootball series: FC Bayern München, the reigning Bundesliga champions, will end their official licensing partnership with the game on June 30, 2025. As a result, several key elements of the club will no longer appear in the title in their current form.

What’s Changing?

Starting with the June 26, 2025 update, the following changes will take place:

  • Club Name, Crest, and Kits: These will be replaced by original in-game designs created by KONAMI.
  • Allianz Arena: The iconic stadium will be removed from the list of selectable venues.

What Stays the Same?

Players who already own FC Bayern stars in Dream Team mode can continue to use them, complete with their real names and likenesses. Most assets, including kits, avatars, and badges already in your possession, will remain unchanged. However, a few standard player versions may no longer be available.

Why Is This Happening?

KONAMI explained that this is part of its regular licensing cycle, and more updates will be shared in late July. FC Bayern has been a platinum partner with KONAMI since 2019, playing a prominent role in the eFootball franchise. While the loss of the Allianz Arena is certainly a blow, there may be silver linings.

What’s Next? Dortmund Rumors Swirl

Multiple reports suggest that Borussia Dortmundcould soon joineFootball, possibly replacing Bayern as a top German presence in the game. If true, this would mean the addition of Signal Iduna Park, one of Germany’s most iconic football stadiums. Though KONAMI has not confirmed this, it would be a welcome addition for fans.
