A Legendary Lineup from Every Era

The upcoming additions span multiple eras and nationalities, bringing a rich mix of football heritage into the game. Among the most notable names are Ronaldo Nazario, Michael Laudrup, Cesc Fabregas, Alan Shearer, Robin van Persie, and Fernando Hierro—each of them a standout figure in world football.

Longtime PES fans will be thrilled to see Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush making a return. These two were once featured as Black Ball Legends but disappeared from the roster after the Liverpool license ended. Their comeback hints at KONAMI restoring older partnerships or introducing fresh rights agreements.

Stars Across the Pitch

The new Legends cover every position, creating opportunities for well-rounded and exciting squad builds. Strikers like Davor Šuker, Carlos Tevez, and Alexandre Pato bring firepower up front, while legendary defenders such as Rio Ferdinand, Vincent Kompany, Jaap Stam, Ricardo Carvalho, and Marcel Desailly bolster the back line.

The sheer depth and quality of the lineup signal a major step forward for eFootball’s roster.

Hints at More to Come: Pele & Puskás?

There’s more stirring behind the scenes as well. Rumors suggest that KONAMI may be prepping audio commentary updates to include Pele and Ferenc Puskás. Spanish-language audio lines have reportedly been recorded for both, and the name “Pele” has also been added in italicized form for French and Italian commentary—though currently only the basic lines are present.

While it’s not confirmed that they’ll be released soon, the groundwork seems to be in motion.

Release Timing: eFootball 2025 or 2026?

It’s unclear whether these 52 Legends will arrive during the current eFootball 2025 cycle or be held back for the launch of eFootball 2026, which is expected between August and September 2025. Given the flashy nature of the cards, their debut could coincide with the release of the next major version for maximum impact.
