Gen.G Esports parts ways with female VALORANT roster
Multinational esports organization Gen.G Esports has announced it is parting ways with its all-female VALORANT roster. The club thanked the former members and fans of Gen.G Black for their support, wishing them all the best for the future.
Today we say goodbye to our Gen.G Black VALORANT roster. We were honored to have them as part of our family and we wish them all the best for the future.
Thanks to all the fans who have been with us these past two years. Your support meant a lot, if not everything. We look forward to new adventures in 2023 and hope to see you there!
The original line-up of Gen.G Black was formed in the spring of 2021, having undergone minor changes in the future. Together, the North American team managed to win VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Game Changers Academy - May and VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Game Changers North America - Academy May, as well as get into the TOP-3 at the end of VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Game Changers Academy - July, Knights Sakura Cup #4, DarkZero #GoingPink Charity Event and NRG VALORANT Neon Dream Invitational.
Recall that the Gen.G Esports organization has become a partner of Riot Games, and now the club will have to move to Asia to participate in the local league. However, the organization did not share its plans for the further development of the women's division.
