Oxygen Esports has restructured its VALORANT division
The North American esports organization Oxygen Esports has restructured its VALORANT division, finally abandoning the Turkish roster. The club's management switched to the North American scene, signing the Ex-Flickbaiters collective and thereby forming the Oxygen Academy.
After an amazingly successful year at EMEA VCT, where our team finished 6th in the region, we felt it was time to explore a different direction for OXG's future in VALORANT. We are eternally grateful to Mavera, Xistou, M1tez, Toronto, Glovee, Unity and Cuaj for all they have given to OXG and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
Recall that the Turkish roster of Oxygen Academy was born in September 2020. During this time, the team won the VCT 2021: Turkey Stage 1 Challengers 1 and VCT 2021: Turkey Stage 1 Challengers 2, and also made it to the top three at some prestigious tournaments, including First Strike Turkey and VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals.
From now on, the organization will develop the Oxygen Academy. The club has already signed the Ex-Flickbaiters team, which in recent months has made it to the top three at NSG: Winter Championship - Open 11, Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet - December, Knights Arena Valorampage - Qualifier and NSG: Winter Championship - Open 15.
From now on, the composition of the Oxygen Academy is as follows:
- Nurfed.
- Rustun.
- reduxx.
- Verno.
- Virty.
