Cloud9 parts ways with two academy players
North American esports organization Cloud9 has announced changes to its VALORANT youth roster, parting ways with RENZ and GLYPH. Both esportsmen have been playing for Cloud9 Academy since October last year.
RENZ and GLYPH joined the Cloud9 Academy in the fall of 2021, having previously toured little-known North American bands. Together with the youth team, the esportsmen took part in many championships, reaching the finals in Trovo Titans North America. However, the team failed to continue its growth in the new season, reaching the quarterfinals of Nerd Street Gamers: Winter Championship - Open 14 only once.
The last tournament for RENZ and GLYPH as part of Cloud9 Academy was Nerd Street Gamers: Winter Championship - Open 15. As a result, the team took 9-16th place, losing to Kowareta (1:2) already at the 1/8 final stage.
From now on, the composition of Cloud9 Academy is as follows:
- poiz.
- instinct.
- renz.
- erkaSt.
- vexel (coach).
