Rumors: yay may leave Cloud9

According to authoritative insider George Geddes, the North American esports organization Cloud9 intends to make changes to its roster in the VALORANT discipline. The club is reportedly discussing possible changes while looking into ways to part ways with their sniper yay.

However, Cloud9 is at the stage of analyzing the current situation, so absolutely any player can leave the roster. However, at the moment, the organization has not yet decided anything, but possible changes may occur before the start of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Americas League.

yay made a name for himself as a member of Team Envy/ OpTic Gaming, winning the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík with them, and finishing in the top three at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs, VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers, VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers, VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen and VALORANT Champions 2022.

However, before the start of the new season, the 24-year-old American joined the Cloud9 team, with whom he reached the final of Red Bull Home Ground #3. However, the team failed to gain a foothold in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, having been defeated by DRX (1:2) in the 1/8 finals of the championship.

After this defeat, the team got together to discuss possible reshuffles. However, as the source assures, nothing has been 100% resolved yet. Clubs will still have the opportunity to make changes to their squads as the next transfer window opens from 6 to 25 March.

Now, the North American club is set to make changes to their roster to increase their chances on the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Americas League. The championship will begin at the end of March and will offer participants three packages to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Masters Tokyo.
