Instinct's career as a Valorant player began in June 2021 when he joined Big Frames. He left the band a month later and played in various mixes. Mike's two main career achievements were winning the NorQuest Esports Series - Champions Division and second place in the previously mentioned Trovo Titans North America. In both cases, the esportsman received $2,000 each.

Now, with the departure of Mike McGinniss, Cloud9 Academy is left with the likes of d1msumboi, GLYPH, poiz, and RENZ. Vexel holds the position of coach.

Cloud9 has not yet said who will take the place of Instinct.
