Nadeshot reveals why 100 Thieves parted ways with steel
On a recent stream, Nadeshot revealed why 100 Thieves parted ways with steel. The owner of the North American esports organization also admitted the team needed a refresh.
I love Josh, I think steel is an incredible player, but right now the team just needed something different. I don’t play with the players every day, I don’t participate in tournaments, I don’t participate in their meetings. So if you want to hear more about it, I'm sure the players will talk about it in their own way, but you know this is not the end of steel's career. You just need to try something different.
Nadeshot also emphasized that fans are hard to please:
As soon as we lose the event, everyone complains that everything needs to be changed, and then, as soon as we do the rearrangements, we remove the player, put him on the bench to try to change the situation, everyone says: “I can't believe you did this ". The fans are really hard to please.
As a reminder, steel has played for 100 Thieves since December last year, immediately taking over as captain. Over the course of the year, the Canadian led the team to victories in First Strike North America, VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers 1, second place at VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 3 and VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs, as well as in TOP 4 at the last VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin.
However, at the beginning of the week, the organization officially parted ways with steel, replacing it with the younger b0i. The Canadian himself stressed that he did not intend to end his professional career.
