Rumor: Worlds 2023 will be held in South Korea
Independent esports journalist Brieuc Seeger , citing his own sources, claims that the 2023 Season World Championship (Worlds 2023) will be held in South Korea. Earlier we wrote that FlyQuest signed a new roster to participate in the LCS .
South Korea last hosted the League of Legends World Championship in 2018. The tournament final was held at Incheon Munhak Stadium, which has a capacity of 50,256 people. Then Invictus Gaming defeated Fnatic with a score of 3:0 and earned the main prize of $2,418,750.
This year, Korea hosted the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational, which was the first LAN tournament with spectators since 2019. Due to COVID-19, the tournaments were held with empty stands for a long time.
