Team Liquid Academy became the winner of LCS Proving Grounds Spring 2022

The LCS Proving Grounds Spring 2022 has come to an end. At the championship, which was held from March 15 to April 16 in a mixed format, 20 youth teams from North America fought for a prize pool of $100,000. The winner of the tournament was Team Liquid Academy, which in the grand final was stronger than 100 Thieves Academy with a score of 3:2.

The championship for the future winner was a breeze as Team Liquid Academy beat Winthrop University (2:0), FlyQuest Academy (2:1), Cloud9 Academy (2:1) and Golden Guardians Academy (3:1) one by one, making it to grand final.

In turn, 100 Thieves Academy, the second finalist of the championship, began its journey with a victory over No Team (2:0), after which the team lost to Golden Guardians Academy (0:2) and fell into the lower bracket. Here, Goldenglue's wards managed to outplay 100 Thieves Next (2:0), CLG Academy (2:0), Cloud9 Academy (2:0), Immortals Academy (3:1) and Golden Guardians Academy (3:0), making it to the final.

In the decisive match, Team Liquid Academy got a strong-willed victory over 100 Thieves Academy (3:2), thanks to which they earned $30,000.
