No More GTA 6 Leaks? FBI Is Looking for Hackers Who Could Spend Up to 50 Years in Jail

Fans got no fewer than five leaked GTA 6 gameplay clips this week, but as it turns out, all good things eventually come to an end. It looks like Rockstar Games, even if not immediately, has managed to take steps toward tracking down whoever's behind the leaks.

According to reports, the FBI has already gotten involved in the Cyberleek case, the hacker behind the five leaked GTA 6 gameplay clips and the game's alleged map. There are even unconfirmed reports floating around about a potential sentence of up to 50 years. Earlier rumors had suggested Cyberleek might be a German national in their early-to-mid 30s, allegedly active in hacking circles since 2018.

THIS MAN IS IN DEEP SHIT!

The GTA 6 leaker now faces 50 YEARS IN PRISON for hacking Rockstar and releasing unreleased footage of the most anticipated game of the century.

The FBI is currently searching for him.

Meanwhile, some social media users have noticed it's been a while since the last leak dropped, leading to speculation that Rockstar may have identified the person responsible. Oddly enough, some fans seem almost grateful for the glimpse at GTA 6, claiming it's only made them more excited for the game. Despite the lull in activity, Cyberleek's site is apparently still online.

Since we haven’t heard from Cyberleek in a while, I’m guessing the fun is over.

These past two days really showed just how massive the hype around GTA 6 is, and honestly, the leaks have only made me even more excited to play it.

The most recent leaked clip, from yesterday, shows Jason flying over Vice City during the day, ending with the character firing a gun at a wall, spelling out a word tied to the leaker's handle. That's seen as another jab at Rockstar, following an earlier cutscene where Cal Hampton claimed he couldn't be traced because he uses a VPN, a detail also attributed to the same leak, which has fueled speculation that whoever's behind this has access to a playable GTA 6 build.
