You Can Get GTA$1,000,000 Bonus in GTA Online Until August 12

Without a doubt, the headline story of the week was Rockstar's announcement about GTA 6, the most anticipated game of the year. The developers confirmed the next showcase will take place August 27, exclusively on Netflix, with the video landing on Rockstar's own platforms just a few hours later. It's not yet clear exactly what'll be shown, but there's a strong chance we will get a first look at Grand Theft Auto VI's gameplay, as well as insight into various aspects of the game.

However, that's not the only GTA-related announcement Rockstar Games recently made. The developers also confirmed that anyone who logs into GTA Online before August 12 will receive a bonus of 1 million in-game dollars, credited to their account within 72 hours. It looks like Rockstar Games plans to keep supporting GTA Online right up until the sixth installment launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year. Bloomberg's Jason Schreier has also confirmed the studio has no plans to reveal GTA 6’s multiplayer mode anytime soon, which suggests the next version of GTA Online likely won't arrive until sometime after the November release, as rumors have previously suggested.

Meanwhile, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has made a few other notable comments recently. He described GTA 6 pre-order numbers as “unprecedented and astonishing” and called the game's price “an incredible bargain,” hinting at just how ambitious Rockstar's new project really is.
