Strauss Zelnick Called GTA 6’s Price “Bargain” and Spoke About Deal with Netflix

Following the disclosure of Take-Two Interactive’s new financial report for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, the company’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, made several statements. One of his most recent comments concerns the price of GTA 6, which, in his view, is entirely justified, as well as why the new look at the game will be shown exclusively on Netflix rather than being released immediately on Rockstar Games’ platforms.

During a recent Q&A session, as reported by GamesRadar+, Zelnick described the price of GTA 6 as “an incredible bargain,” apparently hinting that Rockstar Games is working on a high-quality product that will offer tens, if not hundreds, of hours of unique gameplay. A more detailed statement from the CEO of Take-Two Interactive on this matter you can check out below:

“We’ve said this many, many times. Our goal is to deliver way more value to consumers than what we charge them. To say that we expect that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be an incredible bargain as experiences go is an understatement, because Rockstar Games is known for overdelivering.

Our focus is on delivering way, way more value than what we charge for something.”

Zelnick also addressed why the new look at GTA 6 will be a Netflix exclusive before becoming available to everyone on YouTube. As we know, Rockstar Games has confirmed that the next showcase for the game, titled Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, will take place on August 27; rumor has it that we can expect a 20-minute presentation of the game, during which the developers will discuss its key aspects and show gameplay footage for the first time. Zelnick confirmed that the deal with Netflix is another part of the game’s marketing campaign, as you can check out his comments below:

Take-Two CEO explains why the GTA 6 extended look is exclusive to Netflix for 6 hours:

“This is part of Rockstar’s marketing strategy. It’s a groundbreaking partnership that Rockstar arranged with our friends at Netflix. We’re excited for everyone to see an extended look. And of course, 6 hours after the initial launch on Netflix, it will be available on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and many other outlets.”

Furthermore, according to Strauss Zelnick, the number of pre-orders for GTA 6 is ‘unprecedented and astonishing,’ although he did not disclose even an approximate number. You can also check out how and when to watch Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. The game releases November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
