GSC Game World Revealed New 8-Minute Gameplay of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope

Ahead of the imminent release of the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl DLC, Cost of Hope, GSC Game World has released new gameplay footage from the expansion and shared details on what players can expect from the new, previously unexplored locations.

An 8-minute gameplay trailer introduces a new location, the Iron Forest—an abandoned zone home to a host of dangerous anomalies and other threats. The trailer also offers a glimpse of new areas within the Chornobyl NPP, including ruined buildings and administrative blocks, along with new enemy types, weapons, and characters, as you can check out below:

Last week, GSC Game World also announced S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope will be available August 20 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Alongside that, the developers released a short trailer for the expansion and announced a major update, “Update 2.0,” arriving at the same time. It will be completely free, fixing numerous technical issues and bringing a bunch of changes, including an engine update.
