God of War: Laufey Has Become the Most Discussed Video Game Among All Gaming Shows This Month

Last week was a major event for all video game fans, featuring several gaming presentations such as State of Play, Summer Game Fest, Xbox Games Showcase, and Nintendo Direct. As a result, more than thirty new games were announced, along with numerous projects receiving new gameplay trailers and confirmed release dates.

Summing up the recent game presentations, the analytical portal Level Up, as reported by The Game Business, conducted research that revealed the most talked-about and viewed game during this period was God of War Laufey —a new title from Santa Monica Studio centered on Faye. Taking second place was the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, announced during the Nintendo Direct on June 9, while the top three was rounded out by Resident Evil Veronica, a remake of the cult classic Resident Evil Code: Veronica, revealed at the Summer Game Fest. Additionally, the top 10 included Marvel's Wolverine, Gears of War: E-Day, Kingdom Hearts IV, Persona 6, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Spyro: A Realm Beyond, and Until Dawn 2, as you can check out in the image below:

Although the top 10 results seem quite logical and feature perhaps the most talked-about announcements of the past week, some equally significant projects are still missing—such as Alien Isolation 2, Blood Message, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, TMNT: The Last Ronin, Amsterdam: 1666, and Crazy Taxi: World Tour.
