Xbox Games Showcase 2026—Everything Announced and Revealed
The Xbox Games Showcase from Microsoft has just wrapped up—marking the final major gaming event of the week, following State of Play and Summer Game Fest. More than 20 titles from various game studios were revealed, including exclusive Xbox games. Below, you’ll find everything that was unveiled and announced during the show.
Gears of War: E-Day
The Xbox show opened with, fittingly, an Xbox game—Gears of War: E-Day, developed by The Coalition. As we know, this game serves as a prequel to the original title, and they revealed over seven minutes of gameplay featuring Marcus Fenix, highlighting the unique combat system. It was also announced that the game will launch on October 6th for PC and Xbox Series X/S. However, PlayStation 5 players won’t be getting the game, as insider Jeff Grubb had previously reported; the CEO of Xbox Game Studios, Asha Sharma, personally confirmed that Gears of War: E-Day will be an Xbox exclusive.
Fable
Playground Games had repeatedly announced that the new installment of Fable would be released this year. However, at the end of last month, the developers announced their decision to delay the project. A new trailer was shown at the Xbox Games Showcase, along with a confirmed release date of February 23, 2027.
Halo: Campaign Evolved
The lineup of Xbox Games Studios titles didn't end there, as the next game slated for release was Halo: Campaign Evolved—a remake of the original 2001 Halo: Combat Evolved. It was announced that the updated version would include a new story campaign called Operation: METEORITE, which serves as a prequel to the game. Additionally, the release date was confirmed: the game will be available on all platforms (PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5) starting July 28.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
Asobo Studio has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Resonance: A Plague Legacy, a prequel to the franchise starring Sophia from A Plague Tale: Requiem. As previously announced, the game will shift its focus from stealth to thrilling action scenes and will feature a more expanded and challenging combat system. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Resonance: A Plague Legacy will launch this summer on August 27th for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Notably, there is no mention of a PlayStation 5 release on the same date, suggesting the game might be a timed exclusive.
Persona 4 Revival
After numerous rumors and leaks, Atlus has finally unveiled a fresh look at the Persona 4 remake—Persona 4 Revival. State of Decay 3

Bad Magpie is set to be released in 2027 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember
Team Ninja has announced a new installment in the action game series Wo Long, titled Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember. Wolf Haus Games has announced that their upcoming cooperative cult survival simulator, Join Us, will be released in March next year on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
Senua
Another announcement came from Ninja Theory—they have confirmed that they are working on the third installment of the Hellblade franchise, simply titled Senua. Judging by the first trailer, the developers are aiming to create a game that appeals to a broader audience by making it a more traditional action-adventure. The release is scheduled for 2027 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

Doom: The Dark Ages - Revelations is set to release exactly one month from now, on July 7th, for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Owners of the Premium and Collector's editions will receive the DLC for free.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour will feature a full story mode and, according to rumors, multiplayer as well. The game is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2.
