Metro 2039 Will Have 30 FPS on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S
This week, 4A Games has revealed their new Metro video game—Metro 2039. The game debuted with a reveal cinematic trailer and some gameplay footage at Xbox First Look event on April 16, and it’s looking significantly better than its predecessor, Metro Exodus.
It looks like 4A Games is making high stakes on Metro 2039 graphics, as developers are using a new version of its engine, 4A Engine, which also includes ray tracing, it’s claimed. Moreover, according to the latest report from Legion Looterana, with a reference to the game’s technical analysis, we can expect 30 FPS on both consoles—PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. More details about Metro 2039's technical specifications you can check out below:
Get ready for the next graphical powerhouse! The first technical analysis of Metro 2039 reveals a detail that's sure to generate a lot of buzz:
It's aiming for 30 FPS on current-gen consoles
The 4A Engine is being pushed to its limits:
Dynamic resolution (~1516p internal).
Ray tracing redesigned from the ground up (goodbye to traditional rasterization).
3D frost on weapons and brutal environmental destruction.
PC users may also be frustrated with this report, as the game will probably have a really demanding PC build to play even at minimum system requirements. We are surely about to find out more information later this year, when Metro 2039 releases this winter on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
Metro 2039 is taking place in moscow, returning to the franchise's roots and focusing on gameplay in enclosed spaces, including tunnels and catacombs. The game will feature a brand-new playable character called Stranger, who fights against an authoritarian neo-Nazi movement called the Novoreich, led by their Fuhrer—the legendary Spartan, Hunter.
