Initially, CD Projekt RED eyed releasing more additional content for their latest RPG, and during the latest Q&A session on Bluesky social media, the creative director of Cyberpunk 2077, Igor Sarzynski, revealed some interesting information about cancelled DLC. Although he didn’t mention any gameplay or story details, he revealed it could have been even better than Phantom Liberty, but his ultimate answer remained rather vague, as you can check below:

“Do you think the canceled DLCs could have topped Phantom Liberty?

Will the next season of your favourite series be better or worse than the current one?:) in other words, who knows, it depends on so many things”

In a further conversation, Sarzynski also was asked whether Songbird, one of the most important characters in Phantom Liberty, is a romance option in cancelled DLC. He replied, “Let's just say we try to never tread the same path twice:)", hinting she actually was a romance option, though it’s still not a direct answer from the developer.

CD Projekt RED is confirmed to be working on a Cyberpunk sequel. The game is confirmed to feature Night City from the original title, as well as a new location inspired by Chicago. According to the latest report, the release date might have been eyed for 2030, as The Witcher 4 is also under development at CD Projekt RED.
