Hello Games has launched the Breach Update for No Man’s Sky, a substantial new addition that deepens the game’s exploration and ship-building systems. Alongside a fresh trailer, the studio detailed the patch’s extensive list of features, technical fixes, and visual upgrades—one of the largest content refreshes since the Voyagers expansion in August.
At the heart of Breach lies a darker, emptier universe scattered with the wrecks of destroyed corvette ships. These hulking vessels drift through space as scavenging grounds where players can recover valuable components and expand their construction toolkit. Each derelict contains unique parts, including rare vertical modules that broaden ship design possibilities. With the updated Corvette Workshop, salvaged materials can be refashioned into entirely new builds, allowing players to customize color palettes and experiment with fresh ship silhouettes.
Exploration within these wrecks introduces a new kind of zero-gravity experience. Travellers can exit their ships, float among debris fields, and use the Multi-Tool to disassemble corvette remains for useful resources. The process connects scavenging with crafting more directly, making the act of discovery as practical as it is atmospheric.
Breach also sharpens the game’s visual fidelity. Distant corvette modules now display with greater definition, lighting transitions flow more smoothly between environments, and water surfaces behave more consistently. Planetary objects such as giant mushrooms have received refined collision detection, and a number of visual “seams” have been eliminated. These refinements contribute to steadier performance across all platforms, supported by lighting optimizations and reduced crash frequency.

Hello Games has continued to iterate on its systems since Voyagers, further improving construction snapping and collision reliability. The Corvette Workshop, now more responsive and unified, simplifies large-scale ship customization and resource management. Stability enhancements also target long-standing technical issues, including rare crashes related to complex weapon configurations and hangs when interacting with derelict freighters.
