World of Warcraft Unveils Hotfix Update for Legion Remix Phase 2
Blizzard has rolled out a new hotfix for World of Warcraft, preparing the servers for the official start of Legion Remix Phase 2. The update delivers a broad wave of bug fixes, gameplay adjustments, and technical improvements, all set to go live once servers return after scheduled maintenance.
Legion Remix OverviewThe limited-time Legion Remix event, introduced with Patch 11.2.5 on October 7, lets players relive the Legion expansion with a twist — supercharged leveling, special abilities, and infinite scaling power. The event runs until January 19, and unlike the Mists of Pandaria Remix, this version rolls out in distinct phases that mirror Legion’s original content cycle.
Phase 2, titled “Rise of the Nightfallen,” officially goes live once maintenance concludes. This chapter dives into the heart of Suramar’s storyline, offering fresh challenges and improved performance across all classes and roles.
⚙️ Hotfix Highlights: Stability and Gameplay FixesBefore the Phase 2 rollout, Blizzard implemented a comprehensive hotfix addressing a series of issues affecting gameplay stability and quest progression. More than a dozen bugs have been resolved — from vanishing NPCs and missing quest items to broken dungeon mechanics and unbalanced enemy spawns. These fixes aim to ensure smoother play across all Legion Remix activities.
The most notable corrections include:
- Resolved an issue with disappearing NPCs such as Lindormi after completing Timeworn Keystone dungeons.
- Fixed multiple quest blockers, including “Thalyssra’s Drawers” and Order Hall campaign progression.
- Adjusted Doomguard Challengers from Timewarped Obelisks, removing their overpowered lethal ability combinations.
- Corrected bugs causing Fragmented Mementos of Epoch Challenges to vanish — The Postmaster will now recover them.
- Fixed an issue where Nightmare Ichors in the Il’gynoth, Heart of Corruption encounter behaved incorrectly.
- Restored proper functionality to Feldruid’s Scornwing Idol and ensured Scornwing forms can carry another player, consistent with Lunarwing mounts.
User Interface and Cooldown Manager EnhancementsBeyond Legion Remix, Blizzard has updated the core UI. Several new abilities have been added to the Cooldown Manager, expanding the list of skills that can be tracked through Tracked Buffs and Bars — continuing the system refinements introduced in Patch 11.2.5.
Ongoing Bug Work and Future UpdatesWhile this hotfix smooths out many of the most disruptive bugs, some issues persist — such as occasional character falls through the Infinite Bazaar. Blizzard acknowledges that Legion Remix’s complex systems, like Infinite Power scaling, have introduced fresh challenges, and the team promises ongoing monitoring and additional hotfixes as new phases roll out.
What’s Next in Legion RemixThe third phase, “Legionfall,” arrives on November 4, introducing the Broken Shore and Tomb of Sargeras. Then, Phase 4: “Argus Eternal” launches on November 18, bringing the Argus mini-zones and the Antorus, the Burning Throne raid. Finally, “Infinite Echoes”, the concluding phase, will begin on December 9 — adding catch-up mechanics and time-twisted original content before the event wraps on January 19, 2026.
