Clash Royale October 2025 Update – Full Breakdown

The October 2025 update for Clash Royale is here, and it’s packed with fresh content and major system changes. Season 76 introduces two new Evolutions, a complete Champion system rework, and the arrival of Lucky Chests, along with improved rewards and quality-of-life tweaks. Here’s everything you need to know.

Lucky Chests Replace Lucky Drops

The biggest addition in this update is the new Lucky Chest system, which replaces Lucky Drops. This revamped feature offers better rewards and a more consistent experience compared to its predecessor.

There are three types of Lucky Chests:

• Common Lucky Chests – Contain cards and gold (3 spins)
• Magic Lucky Chests – Include cards, gold, items, and cosmetics (4 spins)
• Seasonal Lucky Chests – Rotate every season and come in two variants tied to that season’s theme

For October, players can earn:

• Haunted Lucky Chest – Contains Skeleton Army and Royal Ghost Evolution shards, plus cosmetics
• Phantom Lucky Chest – Focuses on Royal Ghost Evolution shards and themed rewards

Seasonal Lucky Chests also now feature progress-based guarantees, so the more you open, the more reliable the rewards become.

Champion System Rework

Champions are now simpler and faster to use thanks to a major rework. Instead of being locked behind the old 3-card cycle, Champions now cycle like any other card.

Key changes include:

• Only the most recently played Champion has an active ability (shown with a crown icon).
• Ability cooldowns reset each time a Champion is played.
• The Skeleton King’s soul bar refreshes if he’s redeployed.
• Mirror card now works with Champions — but decks are still limited to one Champion at a time.

This update makes Champions more accessible and much more fluid in regular gameplay.

Two New Evolutions

October’s update brings two exciting new Evolutions:

• Royal Ghost Evolution – Royal Ghost now spawns with two spectral “Souldiers” who deal damage immediately and shield him while he phases in. Available in the Shop starting October 17 at 9 AM UTC.
• Skeleton Army Evolution – Led by General Gerry, the Skeleton Army becomes invisible and indestructible while he’s alive. When Gerry falls, the entire army is defeated.

Daily Rewards & Event Menu Improvements

Daily rewards have been standardized across all players. You’ll now receive four Magic Lucky Chests every day, a nice bonus for consistent logins.

The game mode switcher has also been updated:

• A “New Event!” label will appear whenever new content goes live
• Training Camp and Tournaments are now accessible directly from the same menu
