Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Gameplay Leaks Again Ahead of Release

Another round of Battlefield 6 battle royale footage has surfaced online, giving players their clearest look yet at the standalone mode ahead of its launch. The videos appear to come from recent BF Labs playtests hosted by BF Studios, with leaks circulating widely across X/Twitter over the past day.

The most notable footage comes from user @BobNetworkUK, who claims to have regained access to BF Labs after a previous account was banned. Their video shows several minutes of in-match gameplay as players scavenge through a warehouse, gather loot from supply chests, and exchange fire with enemy squads. Armor plates, upgrade kits, and custom weapon drops were also spotted, signaling that the mode shares design similarities with other popular battle royales such as Call of Duty: Warzone.

In the previous leak report, we mentioned a Battlefield Season Map 1. A ten-minute video has surfaced online, showcasing one of the maps reportedly arriving with Battlefield 6 Season 1. The footage supports earlier speculation that at least two of the new maps are set in California.

These leaks are far from the first time Battlefield 6 content has reached the public before its intended reveal. BF Labs, EA, and BF Studios’ ongoing player test environment has become a consistent source of leaks over the past several months. With hundreds of players invited to try in-progress features, content has regularly slipped out despite repeated account bans.

Battlefield 6 itself is set to launch on October 10 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. While the base game will be available immediately, the battle royale component is expected to follow later in the month. ModernWarzone reported earlier this week that its sources point to an October 28 release date for the mode, though EA and BF Studios have not officially confirmed any launch plans.

The leaks highlight gameplay that feels familiar to fans of the genre, though BF Studios has stressed that the footage reflects early development and should not be considered final. Weapons, UI elements, and systems shown in the clips are likely to see adjustments before launch.

The frequency of these leaks has become a known issue for Battlefield’s developers, who have leaned heavily on public feedback during development. Ripple Effect, one of the four teams under the BF Studios banner, spoke openly about the challenge of balancing transparency with secrecy during a recent interview.

“I remember, at one point, making a big presentation that said, ‘What will leak? Everything.’ Like, we just started with that assumption that things would leak,” technical director Christian Buhl explained. “Now, to be clear, we didn't want things to leak. We weren't seeking leaks, but we knew that the most important thing was to get the game in front of players, get real feedback from players, get real telemetry, real data, and that had to come at any cost, including the fact that things would leak.” — Christian Buhl

This approach underlines the pressure on Battlefield 6 to deliver a strong entry for EA. The franchise has faced declining momentum in recent years, with Battlefield 2042 launching to a divisive reception. For Battlefield 6, EA is counting on a broad multiplayer offering that includes traditional large-scale modes, tighter squad-based combat, and now a modern battle royale.

With less than a month until launch, EA faces the dual challenge of maintaining secrecy while keeping players engaged through early testing. The battle royale leaks will likely continue as long as BF Labs remains open, but they also show a mode that aims to compete directly with the most popular shooters on the market.
