Dark Souls Remastered Is Getting a Seamless Co-Op Mod – Play the Whole Game with Friends

Dark Souls Remastered is finally getting the co-op experience it deserves. Modder ‘Yui’ has announced a Seamless Co-Op Mod that removes all multiplayer restrictions, meaning you and your friends can play the entire game together from start to finish without getting disconnected.

This is a game-changer for Dark Souls fans. If you’ve ever wanted to tackle Lordran’s toughest bosses without the hassle of summoning signs, fog walls, or constant disconnections, this is the mod to watch.

Full Co-Op, No More Disconnects

With this mod, multiplayer boundaries are gone. That means:

  • No getting sent back home when you beat a boss
  • No fog walls blocking your progress
  • No frustrating disconnects when a player dies

Instead, if someone dies, they just respawn at the last bonfire they rested at – the session stays active. Enemy bosses and areas will be permanently cleared for everyone, and all players will experience the same game progression. Even NPC dialogue and events will stay in sync.

Basically, it’s like Dark Souls was designed to be a proper co-op game from the start.

Supports Up to Six Players

The mod will likely support up to six players at once, so you and five friends can explore Lordran together. Plus, it’s upgrading Dark Souls’ old-school P2P connection system with Steam’s modern networking API, meaning better connection stability and fewer annoying disconnects.

If this works as well as Yui’s previous Seamless Co-Op mods for Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring, this could become the best way to experience Dark Souls Remastered.

When Will It Release?

No official release date yet, but if we go by the previous Seamless Co-Op Mod releases, we’re probably looking at one to two weeks. Keep an eye out.

More Mods to Check Out

If you’re into modding Dark Souls, here are a few more must-haves:

  • Dark Souls: Nightfall – A full fan-made sequel with new bosses, mechanics, and world design. The demo is out, but no full release date yet.
  • Dark Souls Remastest V2.0 – Overhauls combat, enemy AI, maps, and weapons (including Halo: Combat Evolved weapons!).
  • Graphics Overhaul Mod – Adds dynamic shadows, better water reflections, upscaled textures, and improved lighting.

With all these mods, Dark Souls Remastered is more alive than ever. Stay tuned for the Seamless Co-Op release – this is one mod you don’t want to miss!
