As revealed via Ubisoft’s latest blog related to the future of the game series, Assassin’s Creed Codename Invictus is a full multiplayer project developed by For Honor veterans, and, what’s more important, the game will be “a new approach to multiplayer in the franchise, but it isn't quite what the rumors have suggested.” Unfortunately, that’s all that was revealed about the upcoming title by Assassin’s Creed head of content, Jean Guesdon, but gaming insider Tom Henderson shared a new update on the game. Recently, he took part in the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast, where he revealed that Codename Invictus will look like the famous Fall Guys video game—in terms of visual style. Also, the game will feature multiple Assassin’s Creed characters and arenas from the game series’ installments, and the gameplay will focus on the gamers fighting and doing different challenges.

Making an Assassin’s Creed entry with a style of Fall Guys is a bold step and definitely something the franchise hasn’t seen yet. Of course, Assassin’s Creed Codename Invictus is one of many franchise titles that are developed by Ubisoft; Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is reportedly looking to be launched this summer, while Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, the next mainline game of the series, according to Jean Guesdon, requires more time, and developers “can’t wait to unveil more when the time is right."
