Six New Resident Evil Games Confirmed to Be in Development
Resident Evil Requiem is the latest Capcom installment released at the end of last month. The game has already recommended itself as one of the best games of 2026 and one of the best in a whole game series; the developers are also looking to expand the franchise with many new titles reportedly in the works.
Previous reports revealed Capcom is already working on Resident Evil 10, as well as new remakes. The horror franchise insider Dusk Golem has shared more information on upcoming Resident Evil titles and other details in a new post on X, and you can check it below:
- Despite speculations, there will be one, not two, DLC for Resident Evil Requiem;
- The next major Resident Evil title is the remake of Code Veronica. An official announcement is expected for this year, and a release is being eyed for 2027.
- Resident Evil Zero Remake is expected to release after Code Veronica Remake, in 2028;
- Capcom is currently not working on Resident Evil 5 Remake;
- The release of Resident Evil 10 is currently set for 2029; however, it could be moved to 2030-2031;
- Also, there is a discussion about the remake of the original Resident Evil. It’s now likely at the pre-production stage, though, so for now it’s hard to say anything about the game;
- Capcom cancelled multiple Resident Evil games over the last years: Revelations 3 featuring Rebecca Chambers, an online co-op multiplayer version of Resident Evil 9, RE: Outrage focused on Wesker, a new version of Resident Evil Re:Verse, and a HUNK game;

Considering we heard much information about the future Resident Evil installments, like the remakes of Code Veronica and Zero, as well as DLC for Requiem and Resident Evil 10, insider reveals Capcom also cancelled multiple titles within the universe, and one of the most exciting is Resident Evil Revelations 3 with Rebecca Chambers. This character hasn’t appeared since Resident Evil 5, and it would be cool to see the expansion of her story. Also, projects featuring Wesker and HUNK are potentially promising, and hopefully we will have more details shared about them.
