As revealed by the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Asha Sharma, more info on Project Helix will be unveiled at the Game Developers Conference next week. At the same time, gaming insider and YouTuber Moore’s Law Is Dead has revealed the first details of Project Helix, including possible price, release date, and hardware. Now, another report comes from reliable Xbox leaker SneakerSO, who was the first to confirm Microsoft is doing multiplatform. New interesting details, including the refusal of exclusives, you can check out below:

Reliable Xbox leaker SneakerSO (first person to confirm Microsoft was going multiplatform, months before anyone else) reveals details about Project Helix:

  • New Xbox CEO Asha Sharma could not cancel it due to high R&D costs already spent;
  • Will be very expensive & made for a very niche audience;
  • It is a PC that uses the Windows full screen Experience;
  • Developers are making games for Windows Store now;
  • There is no native OS, it is now Microsoft's Universal Windows Platform;
  • Native Xbox versions are done;
  • Access to your Xbox library of games maintained through backwards compatibility;
  • Essentially the final nail in the coffin to wrap up the hardware business;
  • Exclusives are "absolutely not happening";

This report also confirms previous rumors that the new Xbox will be a hybrid between the console and PC. It's an interesting point that Microsoft is not looking to release exclusives on Project Helix, while Sony has officially moved off their strategy of releasing PlayStation titles on PC.

There is no official release date for Project Helix, but Microsoft reportedly plans to launch its newest product next year. Hopefully, more information will be revealed soon on the upcoming Game Developers Conference.
