New Fortnite Reload Map Rumored to Arrive on April 8
A new Fortnite rumor suggests that players could be getting a brand-new map for Fortnite Reload on April 8. If true, this could expand the mode’s gameplay variety even further, offering players more diverse and dynamic match experiences. While Fortnite traditionally sticks to a single map per season, Reload stands out by rotating between multiple maps, which keeps gameplay fresh and engaging.
Since its launch in June 2024, Fortnite Reload has quickly become a staple of the game’s lineup. Despite being a relatively recent addition, the mode has captured players' attention by offering a nostalgic twist on the classic Battle Royale formula. It ditches vehicles and brings back remixed Points of Interest (POIs) from the iconic Chapter 1 Athena map, while also incorporating limited respawns — a mechanic that helps keep matches lively and players in the action longer. Still, as popular as Reload has been, the community is eager for more updates.
Now, according to prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX — citing sources Loolo_WRLD and data miner BeastFNCreative — a new Reload map is set to arrive on April 8. Following the release of Venture and Oasis, this would mark the third map introduced to the mode. More maps would give players greater opportunities to experiment with different weapons, strategies, and play styles — all while keeping the momentum alive for the growing mode.
What Will the New Map Look Like?
While nothing is officially confirmed, leaks suggest that Epic Games has been surveying players about their favorite maps from previous chapters. Elements from Chapters 2 through 5 have reportedly been considered for remixing, with a particular emphasis on Chapter 2 Season 2. Biomes such as jungles and urban environments are rumored to be the main focus for the upcoming map, aligning with previous hints from past Fortnite leaks.
Adding fuel to the fire, earlier claims from Loolo indicated that both Reload and another mode, Ballistic, would be getting new maps soon. The map for Ballistic is allegedly codenamed "Hammer," while Reload's new map is called "DashBerry" in internal files. While it’s unclear if Ballistic's map will arrive at the same time, it seems likely that Reload’s update will come first.
How Will This Impact Map Rotation?
Currently, Reload alternates between Oasis and Venture every 30 minutes. With a third map entering the mix, Epic might change how map rotation works — possibly shortening the cycle or even letting players choose which map to play. For now, fans will just have to wait and see.
April 8 is shaping up to be a big date for Fortnite Reload fans. If these leaks prove true, players can look forward to exploring an all-new battlefield — and a refreshed gameplay experience — very soon.
