These sales figures have set a new record for the fastest-selling game in The Legend of Zelda series. Approximately 4 million copies were sold in the United States, while the circulation in Japan reached 2.24 million copies.
The release of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom took place on May 12th for the Nintendo Switch platform.
