Control Resonant Helped Remedy to Nearly Triple Its Revenue—The Game Is Seeing Record-Breaking Results

Control Resonant, which many are calling one of the year's most memorable adventures, was one of the many major releases this September. As it turns out, Remedy's new title has been a huge financial success for the studio, and a recent financial report clearly confirms this.

The company released its new financial report covering the third quarter of 2026, which revealed that, thanks to Control: Resonant, the studio’s quarterly revenue grew by 226%, reaching nearly €40 million. Additionally, over the first nine months of the year, the company earned nearly €63 million, which is almost 50% more than during the same period last year.

CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon says Control Resonant successful launch is "a defining milestone for the company" developer's fastest-selling game ever.

Last month, Control Resonant sold 1 million copies, breaking the studio’s record—it took the game less time to reach that milestone than any other game from the studio. Given the aforementioned report, Remedy must be extremely pleased with the project’s success.

The studio's next game will be Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, which is being developed in collaboration with Rockstar Games, who are serving as the publisher. The release date remains unknown, but early reports indicate this will be Rockstar's next project after GTA 6; according to rumors, the game could be released already in 2027.

Additionally, Remedy is also working on an unannounced project; it’s most likely Alan Wake III, since Control Resonant is directly setting the stage for it in the studio’s best tradition. Especially since Kyle Rowley, the game director of the second installment, is involved in its development.
