Remedy Announced Control Resonant Has Sold 1 Million Copies

It's been less than a month since Remedy Entertainment released its new title, Control: Resonant, a sequel to the original 2019 game. The game has received high praise, and now the developers have shared information about its financial results.

On its social media channels, Remedy announced that sales of Control: Resonant have surpassed 1 million copies across all platforms, which is quite an impressive achievement given that less than a month has passed since its release. Details on the number of copies sold on specific platforms remain unknown, but according to Sensor Tower, nearly half of those sales—456,000 copies—were for the Steam version of the game. In their post, the developers thanked their audience for the support, as you can check out below:

Thank you for the support. For playing, sharing, and being a part of the community.

This May, Remedy confirmed that sales of the original Control had reached 6 million copies, and it’s possible that the sequel might somehow help the first installment attract new players. The studio has also previously stated they might make Control 3 at some point in the future —but that depends precisely on the financial performance of the second installment.

Meanwhile, rumors about Alan Wake III are circulating widely. Not long ago, Remedy renewed the trademark related to the game, and it was also revealed that Kyle Rowley, the game director of Alan Wake II, has been working on an unannounced project since January 2025.
