GTA 6 Launch Trailer Has a Nod to the Original Grand Theft Auto

To surprise many, Rockstar Games has shared a new GTA 6 trailer to mark the game’s launch, which is just one month and four days away. Of course, fans are already poring over it in search of interesting details, and a new discovery contains an “Easter egg” referencing one of the previous installments in the franchise—and it’s probably not the one you’d expect.

As iGrandTheftAuto pointed out, in one of the frames from the GTA 6 trailer, Jason is wearing a T-shirt that reads “U.S. Army Marauder Combat Training School, North Fort Law.” What’s interesting here is that North Fort Law is a military base in the original Grand Theft Auto. As we know, Jason in GTA 6 is a former soldier, and much about his past remains unclear. Does this mean that in the game’s HD universe, there’s a counterpart to the city from the original GTA, which belongs to the 2D universe? This has already sparked speculation.

North Fort Law is a military base in the original Grand Theft Auto, located in the Fort Law district of New Guernsey.

The new GTA 6 trailer sets the stage for a serious, crime-filled story and also showcases various locations in Leonida Keys and key characters, aside from Jason and Lucia. Apparently, it also confirms the presence of sexual scenes in GTA 6, as we see hints of this when the main characters are in the shower together.

Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
