During the Apex Legends Global Series: 2024 Grand Final, held from January 29 to February 2, 2025, in Sapporo, Japan, Electronic Arts unveiled details about the fifth season of ALGS. The 2024 tournament was already a massive event, featuring 40 teams competing for a $2 million prize pool. However, ALGS Year 5 is set to surpass even this scale.

ALGS 2025 Tournament Schedule

EA Announced AGLS 2025 1

According to the organizers, ALGS Year 5 will feature five major offline tournaments, marking Apex Legends' potential return to the top tier of esports. Here’s the full list of events:

  • ALGS Open 2025 – The biggest LAN event in Apex Legends history, with a $1 million prize pool. A staggering 160 teams will compete in a double-elimination format, making it one of the most ambitious tournaments across all esports disciplines.
  • Split 1 Pro League – Regional tournaments will be held across four regions: EMEA, APAC North (Japan and South Korea), APAC South (South Asia and Oceania), and the Americas. The top eight teams from each region will qualify for the Mid-Season Tournament. Each regional tournament has a $125,000 prize pool.
  • Mid-Season Tournament – A total of 40 teams, qualified from all four regions, will compete for a $1 million prize pool.
  • Split 2 Pro League – Once again, tournaments will be held across four regions, with the top 40 teams qualifying for the ALGS Championship 5. The prize pool remains at $125,000 per regional tournament.
  • ALGS Championship Year 5 – The flagship event of the series, which has the potential to rival the biggest tournaments in esports. The prize pool is set at $2 million.

Additionally, another ALGS tournament is planned to be part of the Esports World Cup, with exact dates to be announced later. With such an exciting schedule, 2025 promises to be an electrifying year for Apex Legends fans, solidifying the game’s return to the global esports stage and boosting its popularity once again.
