NODWIN Gaming acquires StarLadder: a new era for famous eSports organizer

NODWIN Gaming has acquired StarLadder. The gaming company paid an initial sum of $5.5 million for the rights to organize events under the StarLadder brand. It was also announced that Roman Romantsov, the founder of StarLadder, will continue to lead the business and has become a shareholder in NODWIN Gaming.

The Return of StarLadder: What to Expect Next

We all know StarLadder as one of the most renowned tournament organizers for Counter-Strike and other esports disciplines. This multifunctional gaming platform was founded back in 2011, hosting multiple major events annually. However, since 2019, StarLadder has largely disappeared from the spotlight, effectively pausing its operations. Towards the end of 2024, rumors began circulating in the gaming community about the possible return of the famous Counter-Strike StarSeries to the esports calendar. However, on January 25, 2025, the tournament organizer announced that its spring season in May had been canceled due to scheduling conflicts.

The acquisition of StarLadder aims to revive these well-known events, with NODWIN Gaming set to open new opportunities in the world of esports. The purchase will also help the tournament organizer expand into new markets and strengthen its global presence. Alongside the initial fee, additional consideration is also payable by NODWIN Gaming upon meeting earn-out targets.
