If this information is confirmed, it indicates that esports is approaching major sports events in terms of revenue generation. For instance, in May 2023, hosting the Ice Hockey World Championship resulted in Latvia's budget increasing by 44 million euros. The tournament spanned nearly two weeks.
In 2023, BLAST plans to hold four major CS:GO tournaments, with two already taking place in Paris and Washington. Towards the end of 2023, the championship will return to Copenhagen, Denmark, and Abu Dhabi.
