🛑 Disqualification Sparks Controversy

On May 21, BLAST officially removed BESTIA from the team lineup for the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, citing the players' failure to secure visas in time. The vacant slot was awarded to Legacy, the fourth-place finisher in the South American qualifier.

BESTIA, however, claims they had informed BLAST that the visa process would be completed by May 26—well ahead of the tournament’s start. Despite this assurance, the organizers did not reconsider their decision, leading to the organization’s intent to take the matter to court.

🎮 What’s at Stake

The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 is set to run from June 3 to June 22 in the United States. This event marks a historic milestone for the CS2 competitive scene, featuring 32 teams for the first time and a prize pool of $1.25 million.

With high stakes and global visibility, the dispute between BESTIA and BLAST is shaping up to be a high-profile controversy in the lead-up to one of the year’s biggest esports tournaments.
