When a player is absent for any reason, it is good practice to provide a safe recovery space for them - a place that has a short path back to the team, but is far from prying eyes. Confidentiality and trust are paramount.

The journey ahead will continue without Nikolay, but we are grateful for his part in our 20 year NIP legacy and the memories he helped create. We wish him the best of luck at home in Denmark, in a more familiar environment.

Thank you all for cheering us on during difficult times. See you on solid ground in Rio de Janeiro as our journey for glory continues.

device has been part of NiP since April 2021. With the team of Nikolai Ridtz, he played at a number of major events, including Flashpoint Season 3, where he took 2nd place in Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Fall: Europe, where he took the championship with the team and PGL Arlington Major, where he got into the TOP-8 with the team.

However, the device failed to gain a foothold in the composition. After a series of not very successful performances, the Danish sniper was sent to the bench of the Swedish club, where he stayed from December 2021 to October this year.

Device's return transfer was one of the biggest transitions of the season. Rumors about the possible return of the Dane to the patrimony appeared more than six months ago.

Initially, the potential amount of the transaction was to be 1,000,000. This is how device's move to the Swedish club in April 2021 was judged.

Later, the price tag dropped to a potential 600,000, and after the transfer was estimated even less. There was information that device would pay 130,000 for its transition to Astralis - the figure was called half of the total cost.

By the way, information about the imminent return of device back to Astralis appeared yesterday. Then the portal Jaxon.gg reported that the parties agreed on the details of the transition.

Astralis squad

  • Nicolai “device” Reedtz

  • Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen (Standing)
  • Peter “castle” Toftbo Ardenskjold (coach)

The first test for device after returning home will be Elisa Masters Espoo 2022. The championship will host 12 teams that will compete for a prize pool of $200,000.
