One of the key transfers of the competitive season is nearing its climax. According to the Jaxon.gg portal, NiP and Astralis have agreed on the transfer of Nikolai “device” Reedtz to the Danish organization.
Several sources at once, closely familiar with the transfer procedure, confirm the fact of an agreement between European clubs regarding the transfer of a star sniper. It is expected that the announcement of the return of the device to its native harbor will take place this week.
Potential Astralis roster for next season
- Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander
- Andreas “Xyp9x” Hojsleth
- Nicolai “device” Reedtz
- Benjamin “blameF” Bremer
- Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen (Standing)
- Peter “castle” Toftbo Ardenskjold (coach)
The story of device potentially moving to Astralis has been going on for more than six months. Since September of this year, NiP and the Danish club have moved into the stage of active discussions about the transfer.
Initially, Astarlis called the amount for returning the device $1,000,000, but later information appeared about a price tag of $600,000. However, later it was reported that Nikolay paid half of the transfer amount, namely $130,000 from salaries and sticker sales at ESL One Stockholm 2022.
device joined Ninjas in Pajamas in April 2021, thus becoming one of the most expensive transfers in the history of the discipline. At the time, Ninjas in Pajamas' chief executive called the deal "one of the largest in the history of esports", but apparently it did not bear fruit.
As part of the NiP device, it did not even manage to come close to the performance that it showed in the “native harbour”. device with Astralis has 4 major trophies, as well as many victories in smaller tournaments.
