device set to Join 100 Thieves in Major CS2 Move
Nicolai “device” Reedtz is expected to join 100 Thieves as the team’s new AWPer, with negotiations reportedly at an advanced stage. Multiple sources speaking to HLTV and Dust2.dk indicate that the deal is close to being finalized.
If completed, the move would reunite device with his longtime Astralis teammate Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, who is set to take over as head coach of the team.
A transfer to 100 Thieves would mark the end of device’s second stint with Astralis, which began in October 2022 following his return from Ninjas in Pyjamas. During this period, device played a crucial role in Astralis’ resurgence, helping the team reach the grand finals of PGL Astana and FISSURE Playground 1, as well as securing their first Major appearance in three years. However, the Danish squad failed to progress beyond Stage 2 at the Major in Budapest.
Should the signing go through, 100 Thieves’ lineup would include Håvard “rain” Nygaard alongside device. This would require the organization to add a three-man core in order to enter 2026 with a valid VRS ranking.
100 Thieves declined to comment when contacted.
Based on current reports, the projected lineup would be:
- Håvard “rain” Nygaard (Norway)
- Nicolai “device” Reedtz (Denmark)
- Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander (Denmark, Coach)
