djL is the new NIP trainer
The Swedish esports organization Ninjas in Pajamas has officially announced djL as the new CS:GO roster coach. Recall that for the first time the appointment of a 27-year-old Swedish specialist became known last week, as the chief operating officer of the organization promptly confirmed all the rumors. djL succeeded THREAT, who moved to the role of divisional CTO late last year.
Jonas Gundersen, NiP COO: "Daniel is the perfect fit for us - a talented coach who has shown promise so far with limited resources. Disciplined, hard-working and with a modern approach to the game as he moved into the coaching role at a fairly young age. This what we were looking for, someone who can take the team to the next level."
djL appeared on the professional scene in 2017, leading the little-known bands passions and Red Reserve. Later, the Swede managed to try himself as a player, but ended his career at the end of 2019 to lead the GamerLegion. In a few months, the specialist helped the team reach the semi-finals of WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2 and get into the TOP-6 in the European Champions Cup.
The following year, djL joined c0ntact as an assistant coach. In particular, his work helped the team reach the semi-finals of #HomeSweetHome: Week 7, as well as qualify for the DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: Europe. Already at the beginning of 2021, the 27-year-old Swedish specialist led Copenhagen Flames, with which he won BLAST Rising 2021, and also got into the TOP-4 at Snow Sweet Snow #2 and European Development Championship Season 4.
For the past six months, djL has been an assistant coach at Apeks. During this time, the Swede helped the team take second place in the Pelaajat.com Series: Fall 2021.
From now on, the composition of Ninjas in Pajamas is as follows:
- REZ.
- Plopski.
- hampus.
- dev1ce.
- es3tag.
- djL (trainer).
