Blizzard becomes chief operating officer of BIG

German esports organization BIG has announced the appointment of Blizzard to the position of Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, the 38-year-old German will play an important role in shaping the organization's strategy for the coming years and realizing the leadership's vision. He will be responsible for many critical processes and projects at BIG, and will work with the leadership team on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running of business operations.

Statement from the new COO of BIG:

After winning the ESL Pro Series Germany in 2009, I ended my long career as a professional player and focused on studying economic engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. After nearly 10 years of professional experience as a quality engineer in the development field, I'm glad I found my way back into esports. I look forward to working with the old comrades and pioneers of esports at BIG again and facing many exciting challenges in my position as COO, as well as making a significant contribution to the growth and strategic direction of BIG. I would like to thank Daniel and Yilmaz from the bottom of my heart for the great trust they have placed in me by appointing me to this responsible position.

Blizzard is a legend in the German scene. Playing from 2003 to 2011, he managed to try his hand at the key teams of the time, including a-Losers and mousesports. During this time, Blizzard has won many prestigious tournaments, including EPS Germany Season V, EPS Germany Season VII, ClanBase EuroCup XII, ESL Pro Series Germany: Season 14, ESL Pro Series Germany: Season 15 and ESL Pro Series Germany: Season 17.

Recall that this is the second legend of the German scene, which joined the leadership of BIG. Previously, the organization appointed Roman R. as the CEO of the CS:GO division.
