NIP Impact Disbands Roster Following ESL Impact Circuit Conclusion
Swedish organization NIP Impact have announced that they are parting ways with their roster after the conclusion of the ESL Impact circuit. The decision comes amid uncertainties about long-term sustainability and consistent competitive opportunities as the team looks ahead to 2026.
“We are proud of the progress we made and the mark we have left,” the organization stated.“This decision isn’t one we’ve made lightly, but unfortunately due to uncertainties around long term sustainability and consistent opportunities to compete as we enter 2026, it’s the one we have arrived at.”
Players Look Ahead to Mixed Competitive Scene
Following the announcement, Dutch twins Kiara “Qiyarah” Janssen and Naomi “Nayomy” Janssen shared their plans to continue competing in the mixed competitive scene, aiming to pursue opportunities with academy teams and other higher-tier environments.
“Going forward, my focus is on playing in the mixed competitive scene through academy teams and any opportunity that allows me to pursue my goal at a higher tier,” Qiyarah wrote on X.“It’s an unknown path, without guarantees but one I know I have to take, a continuation of what I’ve always worked toward.”
Legacy of NIP Impact
NIP Impact entered the women’s CS scene in 2022 with a predominantly Nordic roster and quickly became a consistent presence. At the last Impact Finals in Stockholm, the team reached the semi-finals, where they were ultimately defeated by eventual champions BIG EQUIPA.
