Dead Ops Arcade is officially making its return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies, as revealed in a teaser shown during Gamescom Opening Night Live.

Since its debut in Call of Duty: World at War, Zombies mode has become one of Treyarch’s most beloved additions to the franchise. Players flock to it for different reasons — whether it’s solving Easter eggs, chasing high rounds, or simply mowing down endless waves of the undead.

Among the most unique Zombies experiences has been Dead Ops Arcade, a top-down, twin-stick shooter spin-off that first appeared in the original Black Ops. After returning in Black Ops 3 and Black Ops: Cold War, the fan-favorite mode is back once again — this time as Dead Ops Arcade 4 in Black Ops 7.

The reveal came at the end of the Black Ops 7 segment at Gamescom, where fans caught a glimpse of the familiar top-down action. One detail instantly stood out — Nuketown is back, with its iconic yellow school bus making a cameo in the middle of the arena.

Treyarch confirmed the new iteration with the following description:

“Dead Ops Arcade 4 blasts into Black Ops 7 with a wild new mode, deadly weapons, and new arenas in over-the-top chaos. Whether you’re solo or with the squad, DOA 4 is absolute mayhem.”
