Activision has announced the closure of the servers for the game Call of Duty: Warzone on September 21st. The information was posted on the official franchise website.
In 2020, the game was released as a battle royale genre, and after the release of Warzone 2.0, it was renamed to Warzone Caldera. The decision to end support for the original game will allow the company to focus all efforts on the development of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.
