sinatraa got banned for six months
After an investigation into allegations of sexual assault and an initial suspension from official tournaments in March, sinatraa was banned for six months (March 10 - September 10) and will also be required to take a course in professional conduct. The player is reported to have violated rule 8.1:
The Tournament Operator has the right to monitor compliance with this Global Policy and the applicable Rules for a Specific Event, as well as investigate possible violations. By agreeing to this Global Policy, each Team Member agrees to cooperate with the Tournament Operator in any internal or external investigation conducted by the Tournament Operator in connection with a suspected violation of this Global Policy, the applicable Specific Event Rules or applicable law. Team Members must speak the truth in connection with or for any investigation by or for the Tournament Operator, and not obstruct any such investigation, mislead investigators, or withhold evidence.
It was found that in at least two situations sinatraa misrepresented certain facts, made false statements and did not cooperate with the investigation in the way that a professional was expected to do. It is worth noting that sinatraa never released the full audio tapes, which he publicly promised to provide in order to clear himself of the charges. Currently, the case has been transferred to law enforcement agencies.
As a reminder, Sentinels will take part in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík, which starts on May 24. Sinatraa will be replaced by TenZ, which is on loan from Cloud9 Blue.
