Riot Is Preparing Nerfs for Neon and Chamber in Valorant

Riot Games may soon nerf two agents in Valorant. Insiders have shared details about upcoming changes for Neon and Chamber, but the developers have not officially confirmed them yet.

Several sources have reported a Chamber nerf, but there have been no specifics so far. Spanish insider Safiro described what the agent’s nerfs will look like, but there is no confirmation of this.

• Rendezvous (E): the teleport can only be used once per round;
• Headhunter (Q): the number of bullets will be reduced from 8 to 6, and each one will cost 150 credits;
• Tour de Force (X): the number of shots will be reduced from 5 to 2;
• Tour de Force (X): shots will recharge after killing an enemy.

Safiro claimed these changes would arrive in patch 13.08, but the update came out yesterday with no nerfs. So either this was a joke, or the changes will come in the next patch. Either way, we want to stress that this is not official information.

Neon’s changes are rumored to arrive alongside the new agent. Turkish insider VALORANTLeakTR reported this. According to the insider, the animation time before and after using Relay Bolt (Q) will be increased. In addition, Neon will no longer be able to draw her weapon while sliding. She will only be able to do so after the slide ends. It is still unknown exactly when the patch with these changes will be released.

Riot Games has already said that Neon is too strong, especially in ranked matches. At the end of September, Agents and Live Balance lead penguinVALORANT said the team is working on changes for the agent that will fundamentally change her mechanics – “Changes here wouldn’t be just straight numbers nerfs, we want to look at more pattern level changes”

As a reminder, patch 13.08 was released in Valorant two days ago, bringing a new map rotation, a new skin bundle and the Map Rating system. After that, a bug appeared in the game that caused textures on Haven not to load and turn completely black, so the map was temporarily removed.
