Rumor: Hush Could Be the Codename or Real Name of Valorant’s New Agent

Plenty of details about Valorant’s new agent leaked before the official announcement, but her name stayed a mystery. Now leaker Marpkat_ says the new agent is tied to the name Hush. It’s still unclear whether that’s the character’s actual name or just the codename Riot Games uses during development.

“Hush” means silence, or a request to be quiet, and the word fits Riot’s teaser campaign well. The agent’s official teaser is called FINAL WORD and comes with a line about everyone soon finding out who gets the last word. The leaker also suggests Hush may be her real name, which, like with other agents, could differ from the name she goes by in the game.

Keep in mind that codenames don’t always make it to release. Agents have launched before under names that differed from the internal names in the game files. Riot hasn’t confirmed the new character’s name, role, or abilities yet.

Earlier leaks claimed the new agent will be a Duelist. She would be the 30th agent in the game, the ninth Duelist, and the second new agent of 2026 after the Controller Miks. Leaks also say she’ll be able to copy allies’ signature abilities and will have two ultimates, depending on whether she’s on attack or defense.

Riot has scheduled the agent’s official reveal for October 18. It will take place during a showmatch on grand final day of Valorant Champions 2026 in Shanghai, so that’s when we’ll find out if the new agent is really called Hush.
