Rumor: Riot Could Rework the Frenzy
Riot Games may be considering changes to the Frenzy pistol in Valorant. Leaker valohabercisi shared this on his official social media after receiving a player survey from the developers.
According to the leaker, most of the survey questions were about the latest patch. Toward the end, though, Riot asked a lot of questions specifically about the Frenzy. The developers wanted to know about the machine pistol’s overall balance and its impact on the game. Valohabercisi believes Riot is running the survey to find out how happy players are with the Frenzy right now and what needs to change.
The Frenzy is the only fully automatic pistol in Valorant. It costs 450 credits, holds 13 rounds, and fires 10 rounds per second, so you can empty the whole magazine in about a second. Within 20 meters, it deals 78 damage to the head, 26 to the body, and 22 to the legs, and from 20 to 50 meters that drops to 63, 21, and 17. Thanks to its high fire rate, the pistol works best up close and in pistol rounds. Even so, the Frenzy isn’t very popular: according to Metabot, players pick it only 1.7% of the time, putting it 18th out of 20 weapons in the game.
Riot hasn’t confirmed anything officially yet. A survey doesn’t mean the Frenzy will definitely change, and it’s still unclear whether any adjustments would affect its price, accuracy, or other stats.
As a reminder, Riot Games recently revealed Hush, a new Duelist who became the 30th agent in the game and the ninth character in her class.
