Rumor: New Valorant Agent Will Be From China and Could Be Connected to Sage

There’s less than a week left until the official release of Valorant’s new agent, but new details about the character’s abilities and origins keep appearing online. Well-known dataminer valohabercisi has shared two leaks revealing the heroine’s origins and one of her abilities.

According to his information, the new agent will be from China. The dataminer also noted that the heroine looks more Japanese in appearance and pointed out her necklace, which resembles Sage’s orb. This could connect the two characters, since Sage is also from China.

Even though the agent is Chinese, she looks a bit more Japanese and wears a beautiful necklace with a green orb. Honestly, the orb on this necklace looks very similar to Sage’s orb, so in terms of agent lore, she might be connected to Sage.

In a second post, the dataminer shared details about the agent’s abilities. According to him, the heroine will get a dash ability, but it will work differently than other agents’ dashes. Overall, all of the upcoming character’s skills will be unlike what players are used to seeing from other agents.

New agent will feature some kind of “dash” ability but this ability will be unlike the other dash abilities. According to the information I’ve gathered, the agent’s general ability kit consists of new and impressive abilities unlike anything we’ve seen before.

The dash ability fits well with previous leaks, as the same dataminer earlier claimed that the new agent will be a Duelist. In Valorant, several agents in this class have dashes, including Jett, Neon, and Waylay.

Riot Games has not officially revealed any details about the new heroine yet. The company recently shared a new image of the agent and announced a pop-up café in Shanghai dedicated to her. According to insiders, the full agent reveal will take place on October 17 during the VALORANT Champions 2026 finals weekend.
