Rumor: ardiis will become part of NRG
According to well-known insider George Geddes, the North American esports organization NRG intends to sign ardiis to its VALORANT roster. Together with the transfer of the 24-year-old Latvian sniper, the club will complete the squad before the start of the off-season and the next competitive season.
NRG has entered into preliminary negotiations to sign ardiis from FunPlus Phoenix. Recall that the Chinese club did not get into the affiliate program, as a result of which it decided to sell the backbone of the roster to NAVI. But ardiis stayed away from the "Born to Win" offer, as we see, he decided to try his hand at the American League.
ardiis spent the last season with FunPlus Phoenix. Together with the team, the 24-year-old sniper became the champion of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers and VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen, and also took fourth place at the end of VALORANT Champions 2022.
Earlier, George Geddes reported that the NRG organization is going to sign a trio of OpTic Gaming - FNS, crashies and Victor. In addition, the club is negotiating with Chet for an appointment as head coach.
NRG has partnered with Riot Games and will take part in the top competitive ecosystem alongside Sentinels, 100 Thieves, Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, LOUD, MIBR, Leviatán Esports, and KRÜ Esports. At the same time, the new season officially kicks off with the VCT 2023: Kickoff Tournament in February, in which all 30 partner teams from Asia, America and Europe will take part.
